The Bauer Supreme One80 catcher is specifically constructed for the butterfly style goalie that relies on positioning and surface coverage.

The Supreme One80 goalie catcher uses a high grade synthetic leather in addition to a weave material to provide a nice look as well as great durability. The main reason this catcher is designed for a butterfly style goalie is because the large open face design allows for incredible surface coverage. Bauer has used a small curved cuff box to help control rebounds and also allow for more circumference in the main portion of the catcher, while still meeting the sizing regulations. The hinged break design of this catcher allows for the maximum open surface and net coverage. Another feature of the Bauer One80 catcher that the butterfly style goalie will like is the deep split T-pocket design. The split T-pocket design allows for additional webbing between the two spines which helps to create a larger pocket for trapping the puck.

Although the Supreme One 80 catcher provides elite level protection, Bauer has still kept the catcher incredibly light. The combination of a molded poly and foam construction helps to provide the pre-cruved palm design and great protection on the frontside, even in the weaker break points. The backside of the One80 catcher uses a segmented design to allows the protection to move with your hand. In the thumb, Bauer has used a molded trajectory angled thumb to provide solid protection to the thumb and allow for better mobility.

Bauer has used a nice mesh material in the finger stalls of this catcher to provide a lot of airflow to the fingers. That mesh material along with the leather liner used in the palm and wrist help to keep this catcher super dry and last for a long time. This catcher utilizes two adjustment features to provide the best fit possible. One of the adjustment features is large mesh panel with a velcro strap that wraps directly over the hand to provide great control of the catcher. The other adjustment feature is a slightly padded wrist strap with mesh lining to help lock the catcher onto the hand.
